G+_George Kozi
In the image below, workers bringing fiber to my house... to every house in the neighbourhood... at zero cost to us... even though we already have cable... Guess how big of a smile I got on my face right now?
G+_david wayne
I hate you for this George. No fiber for me in Phoenix
G+_George Kozi
You will hate me even more when I'll tell you that at the moment I have a choice of about a dozen providers on my cable, and when the fiber lights up, fifteen more will be available to chose from. There is regulation in place that ensures real competition.

G+_Shaun Brown
We also started this (in Australia) and I signed up as soon as available BUT with changecof Govt came change to policy (because you can't do the same thing if opposition was doing it). Now Aust Govt thinks FTTN is sufficient (on to copper at residence) and apparently we will only need 15mbps right up to 2023.
G+_George Kozi
Internet has become an utility. Being hooked up adequately to the internet is the same as being hooked up to water, electricity, and sewer.

G+_Peter Binderup
We also have fiber here - I have told my wife that if she ever gets the idea that we should move to a new house, I only have one request, and that is fiber - the rest is not as important to me :-)
