G+_Scott Clemens
That's sound about the current cost of 10MB on any carrier today. Thanks AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, ...

G+_Amcomm Wireless
The very first computer I bought was a Packard Bell dx with 4 mb of ram and 500 mb of hard drive space and let's just say it was smoking.
G+_Amcomm Wireless
I remember when I was told I would never use more than 6 GB
G+_Mitch Gurowitz
Just remember they engineers who made the original IBM PC and were told to use addresses above 640k for drivers as "no one will ever need more than 640k" (they were shipping with 64k so they thought 10x the RAM was a safe bet. They probably thought even the sound of that much RAM was comical. Extended, expended RAM, it was a mess for years. I wonder if they still deal with this stupid artifact and just ignore the first 640k or if it was purged years ago?
G+_Tom Lewis
My first hard drive purchase was a 20 mb Seagate for my IBM XT clone. The people at the computer club were buying 10 mb drives, and asked me "what the h** are you going to do with 20 mb???". I said "whatever I want!" So laughable now. G+_Steven Decato
I was a sales rep at Radio Shack at the time (1982). These drives went on sale for $2500 and we couldn't keep them in stock. Of course you only needed 1MB of memory back then, and programs would fit on a 360K floppy disk.
