G+_Adam van Kuik
My Grandma has either 8 mm or 16 mm home movie reels. What is the best way to digitize them on my own? What equipment do I need? I appreciate all the help.
G+_Neil Sedlak
Just pay around $15 a reel to send them off for 1080p conversion. Anything you do at home will be lower quality, and much more expensive for both time and money. Also, keep the film. If stored properly, it will vastly outlive any regular digital media. Be sure to rotate your digital media every few years if you want to keep these longterm offline. ?
