Why selling Motorola means more Choice

The answer to that question you have to look at the Google Play Store and specifically the Chromebook line up. What you will see with the chromebooks is 5 brands, all making vanilla Chromebook, at a variety of prices and that portfolio is expanding.

Now why not do the something with their mobile lineup and tablets? Vanilla Android devices with low, mid and high precises, sold directly unlocked to the consumer.

lets take it a step further, lets work with the manufacturers like, Samsung, lets make a 10 year patent agreement and get Google glass on the play store built by other manufactures.

What was Motorola Nexus to Google?

It probably did make them money but not as much money as having every manufacture building low and high-end nexus phones.
