Only halfway through the podcast - a couple of the items have already made me think of the TV show Black Mirror. Firstly, the sad news regarding Steven3x, my thoughts go out to his family. This led to a discussion on tweets continuing after you die etc. This is touched upon in Be Right Back (S2Ep1), whilst the Google Glass 'always-on video' is similar to The Entire History of You (S1Ep3). What I like about this is that it takes the discussion in another direction - for example, rather than private videos being leaked, the user obsesses over his relationship, and replays scenes looking for body language etc that reinforces his own feelings. Anyway, satire/sci-fi that's worth a watch. http://www.channel4.com/microsites/B/black-mirror/index.html

Shwood was a bit hit 'n' miss yesterday. his ideas for Google Glass were a bit too far out-there for me. However, he had a plausible reason for the Chromebook Pixel. If you're in the Google ecosystem, you still may want a premium, high-quality laptop.

As for Google Glass, I'm not sure what to make of this. I mean I love the tech, and I'm the one person in the world who doesn't think they look super dorky. However, are they just a HUD? Or is it just that the time of the HUD is here - with mobile communications all the processing is done elsewhere, and the image sent to your eye. That still leaves Glass as a $1500 screen.

Bryan-Mitchell Young  The genius was, after hammering Google for the Pixel and Glass the next comment was how great it was for TWiT to spread the word of technology to the masses - not quite the advert Google is looking for, methinks.

From the reviews I have read (e.g. Engadget and The Verge) the Pixel seems to be a phnomenally well designed laptop (again I even think it is a beautiful looking laptop), with a great keyboard, trackpad and screen. So, is the main problem just the price? Hmmmm, £1.049 is crazy-expensive, so I'm thinking £700 to £750 and I'll have a serious look.

Is there a Google equivalent to Nokia's CityLens, as that would be an excellent use of Glass - but still a HUD.
