G+_Keith Ables
Wait, I'm confused...they have every show featured in the topic section on the left...except for TWiG...on a google service lol that must have been over looked.
G+_Matthew Kerley-Otten
Lorri Helms Oh I see, but what I was saying is that they have discussion groups on the sidebar for the official TWiT community. Kinda strange to have a separate community for just one show.
G+_Jeff Schneider
I think their long term plan is to do this for all of their big shows... I believe it was on TWiG a week or so ago; Leo said they wanted each of the hosts to start a group, so +Jef Jeff Jarvis t ahead and created the TWiG community. G+_Matt Lyons
Why not keep a TWiG section in here, though?
G+_Matthew Kerley-Otten
I thought I heard them say that the head of each show is going to start a section under the community, which makes way more sense to me.
G+_Matt Lyons
No, they hosts are all moderators but anyone can make the seperate communities for each show. Kind of weird.
G+_Matthew Kerley-Otten
Oh ok. Yeah that is a little weird lol that is the biggest problem with communities so far. I feel that there are so many different communities for just 1 topic that I never know which one to join. Communities need to be combined so more people can talk about a certain topic. For example, there are so many different communities about Android but I don't know which one to join because they all look the same. I'm sure they will fix it soon. G+_Dave Bach
Tell me about it. The "Google+ Music" community is run by a guy that claims it is only for posts about bands and their discovery. Now I'm gonna want to start a group called "Google+ Squatters" and help him and his stupid bands get discovered.
G+_Andy Higgins
This was discussed on the last episode of TWIG. Leo wants each show to have its own community page in an attempt to reduce the amount of traffic that one single community would suffer from if every show was a category in a single community page. It makes sense if you think about it.
