G+_Andrew Boyter
It looks like it's more of a curated list that others can subscribe to. It reminds me of Pinterest, but for articles and blogs. I'm sure I could create one for my own content as well, but I think the primary purpose would be to collect sources or articles for followers to read. G+_Andrew Boyter
Javier Alaves I don't know of any that allow others to subscribe to your lists specifically, though. I guess you could create lists in Twitter or something along those lines, but this seems more streamlined.
G+_Douglas Fils
Javier Alaves really you should avoid using either (walled garden). You might be interested in reviewing http://www.w3.org/2012/08/electronic-books/
G+_Andrew Boyter
Javier Alaves It could work for that, but you would need to either use sources that are already in Flipboard (You can add sources via RSS) or create a blog for posting the content, add that blog subscription to your Flipboard, then add individual articles to your "magazine". It sounds like your iBooks solution may be a more elegant one, but the Flipboard option isn't difficult. I'd dl the app and give it a chance. G+_Douglas Fils
Javier Alaves I think things like G+ and Twitter are great for collaboration, since those things can (not always) afford to be more ephemeral. However, for holding and distributing data that can be indexed, searched and integrated they fall short. That is why I advocate using standards based approaches for holding the data/content you make. Since that is where so much effort goes to begin with.
G+_Tor Iver Wilhelmsen
Is taking newspaper clippings and gluing them into albums like people used to do back when newspapers were a printed medium copyright violations? No. Flipboard 2.0 gives you the new-tech newspaper clippings.
G+_Andrew Boyter
Tor Iver Wilhelmsen another good analogy, thanks. I think some big media outlets might get a little twitchy, but I don't think they have a leg to stand on. It was simply my first impression of the story.
