G+_Christopher Copping
Just wanted everyone to know that I connected my low tech turntable up to my audio system for the first time in 36 years. I need to eliminate the hum despite the fact that I have bought a new grounding wire from Amazon. Its an Technics sl qd33 made by Panasonic.Other than the hum the sound is decent considering the disk was sent to me in 1977 .If anyone has any info about the hum let me know. I probably need a rehab of the entire system
G+_Graeme Ellis
Sounds like a ground loop. http://www.epanorama.net/documents/groundloop/ You might want to look at using a USB interface to do the connection instead of the analog inputs.
