G+_Ebuka Daniel
Question for my fellow TWiTs... I have a couple domains that I currently don't use much other than to forward a couple of email addresses on to gmail accounts. I've been paying Network Solutions annually for the domains and then paying HostMonster aproximately $100 each year for hosting. Is there a much cheaper option since I'm not doing anything at the moment with the sites themselves? I'm not going to let the domains go as I plan to use them again a few years down the road. G+_Mason Rothman
If its only a few people I would notify them to use your gmail address, shutdown hosting and have NS fwd your URLs to your Plus page etc.
G+_Joe Loschiavo
Usually you can make them sub domains under a general account on a domain provider like bluehost.com or 1and1.com and then it only costs like $10/yr.
G+_Brandon Gosch
You are paying way to much for the domains. Transfer them to a different registrar. Namecheap.com is a good one and they do offer free email forwarding which is exactly what you are looking for. If you are looking for a host that can store and forward and even spam filter the messages on their way through, you can go to Brinkster.com. They can set you up with an email only plan that for only $2/per box/ per month, will give you just email services. For this plan you will need to contact a rep and ask for it. It is not listed on the website. (Full disclosure: I work for Brinkster.com)?
G+_Dave Bach
Brandon Gosch I pay NetSol about $8 a domain annually. Not their standard rates.
G+_Zarthan South
Had you asked this a couple of months ago I would have suggested host the domains at Google for business. It was free for up to 10 email addresses. It still may work since you can have multiple alias domains on a single account and multiple email aliases to a single mailbox. Use filters to forward specific TO email addresses to your other accounts.
G+_Brandon Gosch
Well Dave that is not bad for them, I would still look at namecheap for the email forwarding.
