G+_Ebuka Daniel
I'm really bummed out right now. I sat down wanting to watch some tech news on the Roku and when I turned on the TWiT channel remembered that only Mike is on Tech News Today these days. I can't switch to Sarah on Tech News Tonight because it's so short that I'd call them clips instead of episodes...and Tech News Today has just become unwatchable. :) Anyone got any good solutions on an alternative daily tech news solution in video format? G+_Chris Clayton
Tom merrit's Daily tech news show of course!

G+_Dave Bach
I wasn't either but Mike makes Sarah look good. Frankly, I think she has stepped up her game since the new year started. She's made it into the studio quite a bit more too which is also a plus.
G+_Chris Clayton
I used to have pretty much nothing but twit podcasts filling up my Pocketcasts feed. Now the twit show is pretty much the only one I listen to. And that depends on guests. AAA has become really bad lately. TWIG also has deteriorated into leo and Jeff veering off into odd tangents and Gina just saying. Hmm hmm. Right. Hmm
G+_Jerry Ham
As Jason Cleanthes said, try DailyTechNewsShow - Tom's new show. Much better than the current incarnation of TNT.
G+_Garry McCaw
Tom Merritt and iyaz akhtar were the main reasons i watched TNT. I subscribe to DTNS now. I still listen to TWIG and TWIT occasionally. I just find it hard to get through when Leo Laporte goes off on a tangent talking Banal Cack. Wish he'd just stay on topic more often. G+_Joe Phelps
Chris Clayton I'm so not a Jeff Jarvis fan. He's not tech savvy and gets sucked in by marketing hype too easily.
G+_Damian Mongru
I undersand what everyone is saying on here. A lot of the last TWiG was spent trying to explain what WhatsApp actually is. I lost my excitement and enthusiasm for some of the podcasts and took a break from them for a couple of months. When I came back to them they seemed a lot better. Definitely worth a try - although maybe not this week as there should be some interesting topics to discuss with MWC.
G+_Chris Clayton
Damian Mongru Haha. When they were talking about using WhatsApp I had my head in my hands. It was like listening to my dad! Clearly had no idea what they were talking about, so they dismissed it as a silly app for teenagers.
G+_David Pick
I suppose I'm in the minority, but I listen to tech news today and tonight in audio format only with Beyond Pod on my phone. I'm happy Tom is still doing his thing with frog pants network. But I'm satisfied with the new format with Mike and Sarah. The short format works for me eating lunch or doing house work like taking the trash to the curb for pickup.
G+_Joe Phelps
David Pick Wow. Is it that short and insignificant?
G+_Niki Tim Bowden
+Damian Mongru Haha. When they were talking about using WhatsApp I had my head in my hands. It was like listening to my dad! Clearly had no idea what they were talking about, so they dismissed it as a silly app for teenagers. ? WhatsApp reminds me of AOL and their marketing. Hey, they said, you can send pictures with email! Hey, said we all, very nice, but you don't need AOL For that. It's a $19B product which I took down for free, but I cannot figure why I need it. Granted you have quick access to a small group of business associates, of which I have none, but what else is it good for but as a tool to keep all Facebookers down on the farm? G+_David Pick
Joe Phelps I'm late replying to your reply Joe Phelps. Just confused by your reply and certainly wouldn't call these podcast insignificant.I understand people are not happy with the changes at TWIT Studios. Will it get better or worse this year I don't know at this time. It is tough to grow your audience and not alienate your fans when making changes in format. G+_Chris Clayton
I will say the decline of twit has broadened my podcast horizons. Excellent shows like Harmontown, no agenda, current geek. How did this get made. All great shows I now subscribe to because I've seeked out new stuff. ?
G+_Brian Belanger
I think Sarah Lane is a pro.
G+_Martin Trautvetter
The sad thing is that Mike's format for the show is more interesting than Tom's, but Mike's on-air persona is non-existent, and his delivery downright awful. (and not improving meaningfully) How can guests that have never before been on the network have an easier time engaging the audience than the full-time host? I stopped watching TNT last week, almost two months into this train wreck. I guess losing Sarah Lane was the last straw. So sorry for Jason Howell, must be awful to be forced to tear down what you helped build.
G+_Chris Clayton
Martin Trautvetter has Sarah left as well now?
G+_Martin Trautvetter
Chris Clayton Well, she left Mike's show and is for now (but who knows for how long) doing TN2 Monday through Thursday. One could speculate that she really wasn't happy about being made to drive up to Petaluma for a 10 o'clock show every day, but I can't imagine her rev share of Mike's show to be worth much, so I don't blame her to want out of it.
