G+_Jonathan English
Has to be said. I'm very disappointed with the production of the Best Of episodes this year. The segments were too long and too few. There were many "best moments" omitted. Prime example... just watched the best of TWiT. A loooong chunk of the episode with Adam Curry was in the beginning, but the part in the same episode where he pulls the gun was omitted. If that doesn't get in the Best Of... then there's nothing else worthy to make it in.
G+_Michael Cronshaw
I agree. However, Ipad Today review of the year was good. Leo and Sarah actually presented the show, rather than just having a bunch of clips put together.
G+_Nick Johnson
Rich Koning you can always edit your own best-of and upload it, I'm sure people would watch it.
G+_Zulhaimi Abdul Hamid
I had the same reaction when I watched the episode but then I guess they wanted to show the serious discussions instead of the banter. Adam Curry was right about FB stocks though..
G+_Rich Koning
There's one exception... Props to Jason Howell for Tech News Today. That's the format I was expecting...little clips. The term used was "best moments". TNT was done that way. TWiT and Mac Break and some others were longer than moments. They just had entire segments dropped in, making it easy to edit, but tedious to watch as a "best of"
G+_Colin Willson
Rich Koning Jason Howell Yes, the TNT best of was really well made. It was hilarious and I loved the "patent wars" moments spread out through the episode and the dancing segment at the end. Definitely the best best of. G+_Tom Dustin
Every year I skip the "best of" shows. Realistically, there is only so much they can do to make them entertaining.
G+_Rich Koning
Listened to Know How and Windows Weekly today. Both made up of smaller, interesting chunks. Mac Break Weekly has plenty of 'moments' with Andy. I don't use a Mac or an iOS device, but I watch MBW just for Andy. Met him in Chicago just over a year ago. TWiT, MBW and TWiG should be called The Biggest Stories of 2012
