G+_Mark Rodriguez (ISTJ Ge
Does anyone else get the message shown below ("Can't play video", "Media source loading has failed") when they try to watch some of the recorded shows from the TWiT.tv site? I've gotten this now on several different computers both at work and at home, but only on some shows. For example, right now I am getting the error on the latest This Week in Tech and one or two other recent shows, but I can play the latest Tech News Today with no problem. When I get this, I usually just jump over to YouTube to watch - but I have been getting it frequently enough that I thought I'd ask if this seems to be a common problem? G+_Rhoad “Rhoadrunner” Run
I've been getting it forever with IE. Tried getting help in chat multiple times, but no response. Works fine in Chrome, but I'd rather watch non-live shows in IE.

G+_Jerry Ham
OK, yes - sorry, this is using IE as on this particular machine I can't watch in Chrome because of the infamous "cannot load shockwave flash" messages that Chrome loves to throw on certain machines. This particular box was just imaged and installed on Friday - and started getting the issue with Chrome right away so I am using IE for TWiT. I certainly prefer Chrome and Chrome works on some of my machines - just not this one.

G+_Jack Zhang
Cachefly has been having issues on my ISP where it just randomly quits downloading the file midway through the download, resulting in an incomplete file. I had to retry numerous times before it got the whole file. This has been going on for several months.
G+_Matt Molloy
Jerry Ham sounds like you have an image problem or you're behind some kind of filter.
G+_Jerry Ham
Matt Molloy The IE issue happens with a MS Surface direct from Microsoft or from a machine with a corporate image. Both on and off of corporate networks. Since others say they have the same issue, the problem seems to be something to do with the TWiT code vs Windows 8.1 and IE 11. For Chrome, it seems that random people also have the same issue with not being able to load Flash (which is built into Chrome damn it) - ranging from XP machines all the way through Windows 8.1. From what I can see Google has not figured out why. Fortunately my home machine doesn't have THAT problem.
G+_Michael Shea
I generally just switch stream providers, works for me.
G+_Rhoad “Rhoadrunner” Run
You can't switch stream providers for previous shows, only "live" shows, as far I can tell.
G+_Rhoad “Rhoadrunner” Run
Interesting... I received a Java update today, and a Windows 8.1 update the day before, and now IE works with previously recorded shows. I can now goof off with 20 tabs in Chrome, and still switch to IE quickly (w/o digging thru my tabs) and pause/play TWIT.
