G+_Mark Swaim
Hi.I was curious if anyone in the community uses Twit View app in Windows 8.1 RT? Did http://twit.tv new website make the show icons stop working for anyone else? I have trouble shoot everything I can think of to make sure it's not Win 8.1 RT that is the problem. Apparently the app doesn't see the show icons anymore when I try to use it.It makes the app frustrating to use as all the shows only display the episode title with a black rectangle.Without the icon,it's almost impossible without playing it to figure what show is this episode from?? http://twit.Tv
G+_Dave Trautman
Have you submitted your issue on the site itself? There's a place for sending remarks back about the user experience. I think you should let them know what your setup is and describe the problem (or better yet, capture a screen image) and show them what's going on for you. G+_David Pick
Dave Trautman Have I contacted twit.tv itself? No. I figured this is something I would need to contact the app developer about. Just curious if anyone else has seen this problem.I realize the user base of Surface RT and Surface 2 is getting smaller by the day. But wondered if anyone even using Windows 8.1 has seen this error? The problem only seemed to develop 2 weeks ago on this app.Long after twit.tv launched their new sight.
G+_Dave Trautman
I'm only suggesting that TWiT's techies know about your problem in case it is something they've put int the site's code which hampers your enjoyment. They've struggled to handle some browser versions and might also be doing stuff the stand-alone players don't like. I might help but it wouldn't hurt to tell them about it. G+_David Pick
Never thought of that.I did recall Leo stating the developers for the Kodi plugin were using an unsupported server source when it stopped working. No one was complaining in the Windows Store for the app. I thought I would ask people here before formally asking twit about it. I thought it was the app developer's responsibility to fix this as Leo clearly has stated all the TWIT apps available on multiple platforms is not developed by them. G+_Dave Trautman
As to the developers, and I sympathize with your idea of asking around here first, I think it's like a dead car in the driveway. You don't know it won't start until you turn the key. Developers often have big gaps in their development and are more often spurred on by problems being shown to them (which are often fairly easy to fix). If the problem lies with TWiT's choice of service then a developer is hooped until they work that out. I'm also pretty sure developers of things related to TWiT are dedicated and in better contact with their techies than any of us.
G+_David Pick
Thought I'd mention.Apparently the app developer rolled out an update to version 2.4.1 for Twit View. Now everything is working again.I was about to try this app on my laptop with Windows 10 Technical Preview to see if it would give the same error. With it fixed, seems less important.
