Have been using Logitech 's low end wireless keyboard and mouse for years

You probably should pick a price range and decide what your must have and nice to have features are. Then you should go to a store where you can put your hands on a few different keyboards and buy the one that fits you best.

Something that forms that personal connection between you and your computer should definitely be a try before you buy situation. I prefer a bit of slant, not too "clicky" or noisy, and consider backlighting to be pretty important. You probably have different preferences.

Thanks +Joe Morrison. I'll definitely do that. As I recall from a few years back the selection at Best Buy or Office Depot was kind of slim, but maybe will get lucky this time. Hoping for a wireless keyboard/mouse combo with a nice clicky feel, but quiet. Backlight is optional. No ergonomic split. If I get replies here with suggestions, I'll look for them locally first, then online.
