G+_Midwest Concert Video
I'm catching up on my TWiT viewing, and watching This Week in Enterprise Tech. The subject of Google campaigning for Title II status came up and whether or not access to poles was that vital. I'm in Kansas City, and on Google Fiber, and I can assure you, it is vital. One of the wealthiest Kansas City suburbs is without Google Fiber because their City Council thought they could force Google Fiber to bury their fiber everywhere, even in areas where all other utilities are on poles. The general suspicion is that Council members had taken money from the cable companies and AT&T to oppose it. If they had Title II classification, the City Council wouldn't have a leg to stand on, and everyone in the Kansas City area would have access to Google Fiber. A lot of my friends are in real estate, and it adds $1k to $2.5k to the value of a house.
