Was anyone else confused about the fact that this week on TWiT, they open with "The Apple event ...

I found it a little strange that four people with apple laptops and three of them (the three guests) 100% apple fans would even comment on anything Android and dish the Android commercial that makes a little fun of the fact that apple gives it's customers no real choice or selection. In 2014 who would buy a car from a company that gave you pretty much no choice in color, number of doors, options?

Just a pity though that if you live outside the U.S. There is no date set yet to when you might be able to buy a Nexus6 some are saying first quarter of 2015. Yet that terrible Apple sold its iPhone into 16 countries from day one. But I suppose as long as it's available in the US that is all that matters

It was also annoying listening to Christina Warren explaining how Google Wallet worked four years ago, with its limited card compatibility, instead of how it has functioned over the past several years, with compatibility with all cards. It's obvious she hasn't picked up an Android phone long enough to even attempt to look at the Wallet feature, and as a tech journalist, she should not be spewing wrong information to the masses to make Apple's solution look better.

Michael Welch I was thinking the same thing! The Capital One restriction hasn't been a thing in years. I'm using both a Visa and Mastercard with zero issues. My main problem with Google Wallet is that stores don't maintain the NFC pads so you don't know they're not working until you look like an alien by tapping your phone to the kiosk.

I can totally understand that Daryl. In reverse I don't understand why America has lagged so far behind in secure credit card payments. I'm reading and it has been mentioned several times on various TWiT network shows that Apple Pay is the thing that is going to bring secure payments for all phones that use NFC by getting merchants to upgrade their machines. I thank Apple for that, for sure.

The apple fandom got nausiating toward the end when none would put a case protecter on their iphone because they feel the phone would be less beautiful with it then without.

They felt the beauty of the phone was worth purchasing apple care in case they break the phone.Their vanity, and I'm being nice when I say vanity when it felt so much like stupidity.

Their vanity explained to me why so many are breaking their iphone 6 or 6+ accidentally without a case protector.

From all my posts here and elsewhere it is no secret I think Apple has some of the best stuff in a few categories (I leave the phone out of that list) and I'm more than happy to watch their presentations after the fact to learn more about what they are up to. I use a lot of different computers and systems but I prefer the Mac stuff the most.

BUT

I am always embarrassed when I see TWiT shows that go on and on and on about the latest Apple thingy. Sure it's okay to mention Apple in a Google netcast and Google in a Windows netcast. That's just a mention and a comparison. But when half a show gets hijacked by some recent Apple controversy or shipping delay or new product update I am not only frustrated by not getting what I came to the show to hear, but I am embarrassed for being so Apple-leaning myself.

I know in person I can bore people with the scope of what the ecosystem can do, the tiny little innovations under the hood, or some obscure new software which saved my bacon. But people give me that look and I know I've gone too far.

Perhaps the live studio audience should start turning their backs when they've had enough of the Apple stuff and Leo (and partners) will get the message. If enough turned away for him to notice then he might respond and moderate a little more moderately. I don't know how much the chat room comments drive this. If the chat room rose up and demanded a change of subject they just might move on.

TWiT is about all tech and should be much more than commentary on any single provider, manufacturer, developer, or user base. It should address all of them in a more balanced way.

Lots of misinformation from Christina Warren about Google stuff.

She (and Leo Laporte) kept saying that Google has no customer support but that's absolutely not true for paid products such as the Nexus line, Play Store purchases or All Access.

I've personally spoken to knowledgeable customer service about these three products. Never been put on hold and always had my issue resolved. In fact, every Google Play Store receipt comes with a phone number to call for support.

Basically, this type of "tech journalists" are getting close to losing all credibility.
