G+_Gregory Benn
On this weeks TWIT, Leo Laporte said his new Galaxy S 6 had terrible battery life and that was because it was thin and light. He didn't mention the ridiculously high resolution screen. If it had a lower resolution screen, it would have better battery life. For me, on a phone, battery life is far more important than screen resolution.

G+_Christopher Kay
...and yet Sony Xperia phones, renowned the world over for their battery longevity, continues to sell poorly in the US. I think a lot of people say they care about battery life, but when it comes to phone selection they don't actually care all that much.
G+_Zulhaimi Abdul Hamid
I have a feeling that Samsung, LG and any of the brave manufacturers that plunged into Quad HD for their new flagships have been let down by Android's Lollipop. It was supposed to bring better battery saving performance. Suddenly, that HTC M9 starting to look attractive again, eh?
G+_Jerry Ham
Obviously the screen is a big factor. Of course Leo showed off his S6 running a replacement launcher (Apex I think he said), and a bunch of screens just full of widgets pulling down data in the background and his notifications at the top of the screen showed a whole bunch of stuff. Maybe he'd get better battery life if he cut down on the cruft more? It is hard to believe that phone only gets 10 hours. He must have the screen on for 5 of them. It is really hard to compare experiences with battery life since we all use our phones so differently. I know people complain about the Nexus 6 battery life too yet I pretty consistently have 45% or so left when I put it on the charger at bed time. G+_Bill Whitman
It doesn't help that the S6 has a smaller capacity battery.
