On this weeks TWIT, Leo Laporte said his new Galaxy S 6 had terrible battery life and that was because it was thin and light.  He didn't mention the ridiculously high resolution screen.  If it had a lower resolution screen, it would have better battery life.  For me, on a phone, battery life is far more important than screen resolution.

Obviously the screen is a big factor. Of course Leo showed off his S6 running a replacement launcher (Apex I think he said), and a bunch of screens just full of widgets pulling down data in the background and his notifications at the top of the screen showed a whole bunch of stuff. Maybe he'd get better battery life if he cut down on the cruft more? It is hard to believe that phone only gets 10 hours. He must have the screen on for 5 of them. It is really hard to compare experiences with battery life since we all use our phones so differently. I know people complain about the Nexus 6 battery life too yet I pretty consistently have 45% or so left when I put it on the charger at bed time.
