G+_Bart Dyer
Looking for windows app that manages my drivers and allows me to safely update them in 1 click. Does this software exist?
G+_Jody Fanning
There is. It's called Windows Update.
G+_John Costanzo
It does not update all drivers. That to me is more software update.
G+_John Costanzo
Have you used any of these?
G+_Jody Fanning
Windows update should cover almost every normal driver these days. My home-built system pretty much didn't need a single driver manually installed when I installed Windows 8. The only ones I actually installed myself (and much later) were the Intel driver for SATA and the NVidia driver. And both of those did come from MS, but I was screwing around with an SSD and was trying different options and nVidia updates theirs so often. But unless you have a real need to screw with things I would just leave them alone. Just because you can play with those doesn't mean you should. G+_Matthew Bowen
Jody FanningAgreed. In this case it really is true; if it's not broke, don't fix it. ? I've seen nothing but problems come from the tools you are asking about. Those things get removed in my shop.
G+_John Costanzo
So I just did a fresh, install and did all my windows updates. When I check device manager there is stuff that the driver is not installed. Its around the USB 3 controller. So I do not think MS handles all drivers
G+_Matthew Bowen
John Costanzo you goto the manufacturer website for oddballs that aren't found. If pre-built, the OEM website (Dell, HP). If custom built, the mobo manufacturer website.
