G+_Martin Trautvetter
Josh Frye Sometimes, I think I'd like to know how the idea of having a news department morphed into a vapid self-promotion platform for selected journalists. Then I remember who'd deliver the answer.
G+_Martin Trautvetter
Joe Phelps Something about John going down some rat hole is all I gathered. Sadly don't have the details on what direction or actual length of content cut. I'm sure Chad Johnson could add the details.
G+_Joe Phelps
Martin Trautvetter Yeah, but he won't.
G+_David Pick
Joe Phelps Hi Joe. Yea it felt a little like Fox News. But Leo made it clear they were ending at 4:30. Pacific Time so Leo could watch G.O.T. at home. Not because of what John or Jolie said. But overall the episode was a crazy train off the rails ep. G+_Chris Woodley
Wow the edited version is still weird but A for effort into trying to make this usable. Dvorak is slipping with his behavior it seems
G+_Matt Malick
I usually skip the episodes she is on. I like JCD though.
G+_Jon Carney
Wow, I'm surprised at the vitriol which has recently been directed at JCD, and now Jolie. Repeat to yourself "It's just a show, and I really should relax." Many people got all up in arms last time John was on the show because he made a couple of off color remarks; but where's the outrage at Jolie being called a cunt by someone in the chat room? No woman deserves that, especially in a public forum.
G+_Michael Pelfrey
Agreed but unfortunately maintaining any level of outrage about comments in a forum or chat room is difficult for me these days. A survival mechanism anyone who spends time online develops. Such comments are so prevalent that it would result in a pretty unhappy life to lend them too much weight. I think Jolie can often provide a valuable perspective but this episode did feel a little stilted. Is it possible that two 'contrarians' in studio is too much for even Leo's enthusiasm to balance out? Maybe they should have had Scoble on as well ;)? G+_Alex Howard
Actually, having Scoble on along with those two is a great idea.
G+_Rich Koning
Still think the show title should have been "See You Next Tuesday"
G+_Lee Stoneman
O'Dell is fascinating. It's like she's been constructed in a laboratory for the sole purpose of winding me up. Everything she says seems designed to pinpoint exactly the opposite of what I think and her smug self satisfied demeanour amps the whole package up to 11. Just writing this is making my blood boil. I need to lie down.
G+_David Pick
I would ask you Lee. Didn't you ever meet someone like Jolie in high school? I don't mean as a date. Just anouther student in a class room. I did, so that's why Jolie doesn't agrevate me as much as it does you.
G+_Lee Stoneman
No, I don't think I've ever met anyone as annoying as her, male or female. Not sure how it would help even if I had? Are you saying you become more tolerant of them? Would the same trick work with racists? They irritate you less if you went to school with them? G+_David Pick
I'll share a story, maybe its related but probably not. Years ago I was telling a co-worker about Amy Polar in a movie. His first reaction when he knew who she was "I want to hit her in the face with a shovel". After my initial shock, I asked him why he hated her so much? He told me he didn't really know her, just her face aggravated him. After a moment I asked him did you date someone that looked like her? After a moment of thought, he said yea he did. So it became obvious to me he had a bad break up with somebody else. At the time he was and still is married so I knew it wasn't jealousy. Now a days he loves the show Parks and Rec on NBC. You seem not just annoyed Lee, but pretty angry. I'll just tell you look at the bright side Jolie isn't a regular guest.
