G+_Jason Hughes
I know we are all die hard TWIT fans here, but if you HAVE to listen to gasp OTHER podcasts ('cos you just can't take one more re-run of TWIL between Friday afternoon and the start of The Tech Guy), what are your poisons of choice? G+_Aaron Weintraub
I like "in beta" with Gina Trapani
G+_Eugene Choi
I used to really like the Linux Action Show. I still catch TWiS (but that's a former TWiT show).
G+_Jeff Stevens
Not tech, but Hardcore History is the best podcast ever created.
G+_Andrew Wilson
Linux outlaws; this week in radio tech (I stayed faithful) weather brains, Ubuntu UK podcast, BBC radio 4 drama of the week, IEEE software development podcast, tuxradar, the amp hour, and let's not forget the Dick Turpin Road Show. An eclectic mix, bit I have lots of train hours a week!
G+_Eng. Jorge Santana
Real Time with Bill Maher, Mike & Mike in the morning, This American Life, 60 Minutes, Rev3Games, the Verge Cast...
G+_Dan Clark
I'm with Jeff Stevens, Dan Carlin's hardcore history is amazing. My other non-twit podcasts include The Skeptics Guide to the Universe and Penn's Sunday School. Sadly, those both come out over the weekend, so they don't fill the Friday gap, but are excellent nonetheless :)
G+_Richard
Mysterious Universe is very good
G+_Dave Trautman
On The Verge has been in my favourites bin for a while now. It used to be overly long and self-indulgent, but whoever is producing it now has given it polish and style without sacrificing an irreverent take on things. I hope you were looking for non-TWiT podcasts in a tech vein.
G+_Jo Welde
In Beta on the 5by5 network is really good, and Gigaom has a couple good weeklies. What The Tech (GuysFromQueens) and the Vergecast (theverge) are OK, but very boys' club-ish.
G+_Tim Pequignot
I used to watch LAS religiously before Bryan left. I love Techsnap too, its a lot faster paced than Security now (don't get me wrong I think we all love Steve) Car talk, the verge cast sometimes, and some others I don't listen to frequently enough to remember. G+_Dave Trautman
I agree — Verge is very sophomoric. Some of these others look interesting too
G+_Jared Budlong
www.frogpants.com has a few great shows! Scott Johnson and Brian Ibbott host "The Morning Stream" (a Mon-Thurs morning show). Then there's the ever humorous "Film Sack" ... Give those a shot!
