G+_Kathleen Maltby
Has anyone had issues with syncing on Google calendar on their phones? I have a HTC 1 s and it will add appointments but I can not make changes on the phone that will then sync with the PC and vice versa. It is mostly a problem for repeat items. G+_Corey Fields
Kathleen Maltby , when you're on your phone, you're adding appointments to Google calendar and not the local HTC stock calendar, correct?
G+_Robert Carlos
I use the Google calendar app, I experience no such problems. It has an excellent widget as well
G+_Kathleen Maltby
I am adding it to the google calender. I also have it linked to my outlook calender for work which seems to work fine. It does not link properly to my google calender in the "cloud" I still have stuff linking that I deleted months ago or alarms going that I also modified. G+_Kathleen Maltby
I love the widget to but I have some old calenders that I have removed on the PC side but they still pop up on the widget. Luckily my calender is not to busy so it is not a huge issue just an annoyance.
G+_Corey Fields
The only thing I can think of is possible issues with having Outlook involved. I've never had a problem with Google calendar syncing between devices.
G+_Wade Shields
When you say that you've removed them from the PC side, so you mean Outlook, or the Web app in your browser? If you mean Outlook, then that is probably your issue. It has been many years since I used Outlook calendar, but I know the sync with Google calendar isn't perfect. The issue isn't with your phone or the Web app. It's most likely with Outlook.
G+_Wade Shields
This Google sync announcement seems to state they dropped support for Microsoft Outlook support anyways unless you are a paid Google apps user. http://support.google.com/a/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2716936
G+_Kathleen Maltby
Sorry for the confussion. What I ment to say was that the syncing between Outlook/Exchange there are no issues. When I update on Outlook it updates on google calendar on my phone. Where I have issues is that when I make changes either on my phone or on the pc google calendar the changes do not stick. I can delete old google calendars from both the web version or the phone and it will not delete. I have similar issues when I try to modify, I can add but I can not remove. G+_Wade Shields
Something must be off in the setup somehow. I'd go to your phone settings and check Accounts and Sync and make sure that your Calender is checked to sync. If it is, then try the Google Calendar support page (http://support.google.com/calendar/bin/topic.py?hl=en&topic=2586645&parent=13950&ctx=topic) If that still doesn't work, what I would personally do is make sure that you manually update all events in the Web App on you computer browser and then do a hard reset and start your sync from scratch. There is no reason your Phone shouldn't sync perfectly with the Web App. If you do figure it out, please comment back on this post, as I'd like to know. G+_Kathleen Maltby
No luck, I tried making some changes on the pc side and then I did a hard reset. Still showing the old settings. I even deleted a calendar and that is still showing on the widget even though I deleted the widget and reset it up. Really starting to get frustrating with this and my call standby taking up 30% of my phone usage I am starting to think I may have a bad something in there.
