G+_Mike Rothman
I'd like to use Chromecast for Audio and Spotify to go to sleep to music, but my SleepTimer app, which does turn off a playing app, does NOT turn off a playing cast to the Chromecast. Does anyone know of a way to remedy this? Thanks.
G+_Joe Morrison
Speaking without research, can your sleep timer app send a silent file or an explicit stop commend to the chromecast? Telling it to immediately play a single silent file should override the queue and effectively stop it from playing.

G+_john ferris
Hmm... does Spotify have a sleeptimer function build in?
G+_Mike Rothman
Joe Morrison Thanks for the suggestions, Joe. I've not found any sleep app function which will send an explicit stop to the chromecast, but looped silent file is a possibility. Thanks.

G+_Mike Rothman
john ferris Oddly, no. You'd expect it to, wouldn't you?
G+_john ferris
Mike Rothman heckbya they should. But I'm sure that's something that would be added for subscribers.
G+_Joe Morrison
Mike Rothman If it can push the file to the chromecast you shouldn't even need to loop it. The directly pushed file would overwrite the queue and once it finished playing the chromecast should revert to idle mode.
