G+_Mark Martinet
I'm very close to adding a head unit to my car and wanted to reach out to the AAA community about Android compatibility The new Kenwood Excelon units say they support Android music playback, but I was hoping to have this confirmed before I make any final decisions. Has USB music playback finally been fixed on Android to operate similar to iOS?
G+_Cole Brodine
I'll be interested to find out what you go with. I can't figure out why nobody has made a touch screen android head unit. I would think you could use a lot of desktop/laptop type components to keep the price down a little. (like SSDs) Add wifi compatibility and a custom app for FM Radio. You could even tie in ODB sensor stuff if you wanted.
G+_Matt Wells
I have the parrot astroid and would advise all to skip it. I hate that thing.
G+_Robert Nazarian
For the ultimate setup, look at this one....http://www.talkandroid.com/149123-arliberator-brings-android-experience-to-your-vehicle-head-unit/
G+_Lucas Nichols
I saw a post a while back where a guy mounted his nexus 7 in his dash. It looked like he was able to do anything he wanted with it. So much more than a normal head unit could do.
