G+_Dimitris Tzouris
Ron Richards or Jason Howell mentioned this problem with the battery. I've been having the same problem for 3 days now on my Nexus 4 running 4.3. Battery drops to 50% in an hour and it overheats a lot! Google Play Services got an update 3 days ago and this seems to cause the problem. This rendered my phone unusable when I'm outside. Anyone has the same problem? Any ideas on it can be fixed? Thank you!
G+_Ted Wallin
There's a lot about this on the Internet. Check this for example http://forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s4/315944-google-services-battery-drain.html

G+_Carlos Silva
No issues on my nexus 4 with 4.3 in fact the battery seems to last longer. I do run very vanilla (minus nova launcher) and keep known hogs like Facebook app off the phone
G+_Ted Wallin
I think it's very individual. I had Play Services drain battery on my SGS4 GE.
G+_Dimitris Tzouris
I deactivated Google's "Access location" option and everything was OK until I got outside. Looks like the GPS started draining the battery again, so I deactivated Google Now as well. Looks OK so far, but still needs more testing...
