G+_Evan Black
Hey everyone have a question is there any way to hook a N7 to a TV. I know you probably get this question a lot.
G+_Cameron McDermott
As far as I know, someone else might have more info, I don't think you can. The HDMI can't be outputed through the USB output. I'm fairly certain, but someone might have to confirm. Not sure if there are some other ways via WiFi streaming, etc.
G+_Nick Webster
The best way is via HDMI. You need an adaptor to get output from the micro USB port but once you have it, it should work just fine. This is possible with most Android devices and I can confirm it works as I got an adaptor with my N7 as a bundle.
G+_Evan Black
Nick Webster Thanks do you have a certain kind of cord. Every blog and everyone I talk to says it says N7 doesnt support HDMI
G+_Nick Webster
Evan Black I do. Sorry I can't be of much help though, my cord is not branded.
G+_Richard Cohen
The N7 does not support MHL, which is the USB->HDMI standard which looked like it was getting some traction last year. It also doesn't support Miracast, which is this year's standard, AFAIK...
G+_Nick Webster
Richard Cohen I've got no idea how my thing is working then. Oh well, I might as well be happy that it works for me.

G+_Richard Cohen
Nick Webster Would be interested to see a picture, or a model number, or something, of your adapter... are you running the stock OS?
G+_Nick Webster
Richard Cohen I am running a custom ROM. After a bit of research I found I am using this http://www.amazon.com/BoxWave-Samsung-Galaxy-Nexus-Adapter/dp/B000LG1TSA
G+_Evan Black
Nick Webster im going to get one hope this thing works. That's crazy how it work for you. Do you think your ROM has something to do with it
G+_Nick Webster
Evan Black It probably does but I'd guess I did something stupid to my kernel to make it work. Good luck seeing if you can get it to work but again it was probably a anecdotal mistake that was made in the process of modding my tablet. If it doesn't work (which it probably won't) you could probably still put it in use with a phone or something.
