G+_Nate Mandle
very interesting. http://siliconangle.com/blog/2013/05/28/google-likely-to-replace-android-with-chrome/
G+_Kevin Spitzer (JaguarXT
I hope not. If they do that then the devices will be less like pocket personal computers and more like a browser based cloud terminal phone device. Why would I want that? No Way! I like my devices as smart devices, not dummy cloud terminals. Not to mention the apps that I have in the Android ecosystem that would go to waste. ? G+_Chris Croft
I not going to happen anytime soon. Google said they have no plans to merge chrome and android
G+_Kevin Spitzer (JaguarXT
I remember that Larry said in the I/O 2013 keynotes that they (Google) are not planning to merge Chrome OS and Android anytime soon. ?
G+_Brian Swartzfager
I'm extremely dubious about this claim. I didn't see the article author cite any source for this info, and you'd think that news this significant would be all over the various tech sites. And the bit about the Web not being optimized for touch...modern web browsers can recognize touch-based events separately from click-based ones. It's up to the developer to make those touch targets large enough to use with a finger.

G+_thomas rinehart
If Google replaces android with chrome, what will become of android? Will they replace it or combine the best of the two?
G+_Raymond Johnson
Headlines like this, if written more honestly, would say, "In the Future, Capabilities of Single Devices Likely to Match Current Capabilities of Multiple Devices." If they're talking about the short-term, like the next year or two, then I don't think there's much to get excited about.
G+_Nick Ludy
It was an intresting article, but why does the writer present everything as fact with dates and what the phones will be called. Speculation is fun, but this seems like reaching.?
G+_Kyle Mallory
I can see them working on a more seamless language between the two, but I don't see them forming a Google Voltron like product. Google makes money of the Playstore for Android and I don't see them abandoning that. It is possible for them to have 2 platforms that work well together. Just like a man and a woman can be just friends. This article is nothing but an attention grabber. Finish your Jellybeans now and get ready for the next course.
