G+_Kevin Britain
I use Tasker to: automatically turn Wi-Fi on when I'm home and off when I leave using the local cell towers as a location beacon (instead of GPS), and have the screen go full bright/dim to 35% depending if my phone is plugged in our not. G+_Gary A Hanson
yeah, but I had Tasker before Llama came out 8D. I set up Llama on my wife's phone to do the same thing.
G+_Ed Reilly
I was using NFC tags to change my settings for home, work, and the car (ringers on and off, bluetooth on and off, wifi on and off, etc.) but tasker gives me more control because I can do things like choose the work setting (ringer off but notifications on) even when I am not at work or not going to my desk first thing at the office. I created four events which I compiled into apps and execute when I want them. That seems to work better than depending on GPS, etc.
G+_Robert Hendrix
Tasker is great because you can make stand alone apps.
