G+_A Alto
So, I had to give Ron a hard time about calling Apple folk sheep. But, I am a user of both android and iOS. I enjoy using both of them. However, I've been teetering the line of switching back to iPhone. I love being able to customize my note 5. I was first introduced to android way back in the day with the droid incredible. Switched to iPhone after that and when the note 5 emerged I thought it would be time to switch back to android. I LOVE my note 5. But, android is still fragmented over all and still buggy. Though, it is no where near as bad as the early days of android. The bugs are my minute, none the less annoying as hell. Just an example, about twice a day my multi tasking view will not work. It says "no recent apps opened" or something close to that. The only way I can fix the problem is by rebooting my device! With all of that being said, Apple is by far perfect and its downfall is it not being as open. Which cuts back on fragmentation . But, it isn't as customizable. Anyway, I love the show. Sorry for giving you a hard time Ron haha
G+_Andy Overcash
Andrew Uschold I know that it's not actually androids fault. However, that goes back to the fragmentation of android. It may not be googles fault. It still tarnishes the final product and android's logo is still on that boot screen.
G+_Andy Overcash
Andrew Uschold I may get a nexus device before I make the switch again though.
G+_Andy Overcash
Andrew Uschold since you updated your above comment, I wanted to make a point with choice. These Cheaper "free" phones is not an excuse to make an operating system that barely works. The fragmentation that I am referring to is Google's lack of ability to control the final os. If that's on a "free" phone or a $900 device. Google lacks quality control on their software and when your business model is 95% software, that's an issue. If my software on my $900 device requires a reboot twice a day, it's not only Samsung's issue, it's also Google's.
