G+_Matt Maher
Rollout ETA: right now ETA for hitting your device: nobody knows That's why they call it a rollout. It's probably hitting some people's phones right now. Then some more. Then some more. I can only think of two reasons for doing it this way: 1) less strain on Google's servers, though if anyone could handle it it would be Google 2) if something terrible happens with the update, instead of having all users affected before Google can halt the rollout, it's only a smaller number. I believe this is the main reason for the slow rollout. Personally, I can't remember how quickly I've gotten the updates in the past. I've only ever had Nexus devices (and the G1), and they seem to get the update within a week. So, I suspect I'll get the update on my Nexus 5 on the day I got to TMobile to buy my Nexus 6 :)
