G+_Marlon Thompson Posted May 6, 2013 Share Posted May 6, 2013 Just call it good design (inspired by this great article I just read http://www.toledo2.com/2013/05/02/dont-call-it-metro-call-it-good-design/) Since coming over to Android, its strange that I have become obsessed with design and UI. Many of it stems from the fact that when I had my first "Eclair" phone. Design wasn't something that seemed to be high on the agenda for developers and Android didn't have the tools. So I would have to tell my apple friends,"Yeah sure it looks nice and bounces but with this fugly app I can knock everyone off this network with one click Android is just that powerful" Yeesh..Well I learned design is important and we are getting there as a platform (in fact I would say we have arrived), but a word of caution, don't be obsessed with Holo or think that all apps have to look and work the same, look for good design, great user experiences.
