In app purchasing done well or done badly

For the last week or so I have been addicted to Punch Quest http://bit.ly/10wKqc3, its a game where you ...punch things..its actually an endless puncher. It costs 99c but it also has that dreaded feature that most people hate IAP. However as in games of this genre you can earn "punchos" by completing quests in the game. After playing it for a while I am beginning to think that this is an example of IAP done right for the consumer but bad for the developer.

First off, the game is easy to pick up and put down and while you do not have to purchase the various upgrades they enhance the game play a bit and the first few levels are really easy to get as they cost a small amount of money punchos. But also the quests are really easy to complete, you get tasks like punch 100 bats or block 10 times, So you complete them just by playing and you don't think about them. Ever so often you will get a quest where you have to purchase an upgrade but by that time you usually have the required amount for it. Then there are other ways to get punchos, you can like or follow the developers on their different social networks. I don't really like those but hey its there. Then I didn't even realise that while you are playing the game you are also leveling up gnomes to level 50 until a screen just popped up and I was awarded 25000 punchos, for basically playing the game. And there is the biggest glitch of all where once every day you can share your score, but here is the thing, if you hit share and then back you get the credits without ever sharing anything and it seems to go up everyday by 1000 so today I got 9000 punchos.

So is this a case of good IAP or bad, what do you think
