G+_Marlon Thompson Posted August 6, 2013 Share Posted August 6, 2013 Who are your top reviewers After reading another review from Droid Life I started thinking who do I trust to get my Android reviews from. I hate to stay in the echo chamber but I am finding that Android focused sites are actually doing a better job than mainstream tech sites. The Verge is inconsistent and sometimes focuses on small details to the extent where it overshadows the entire review, Gizmodo rarely surprises me in the slant of their reviews (they predicted the demise of the the Note and said that 3.5 inches is the perfect size for a smart phone.). Engadget is okay and I trust Myriam Joire but with Tim Stevens exit I worry about their quality control now. I don't want glowing reviews, but I want some thought and I get that from Android Police and Android Central and then for my Sunday afternoon reading for a half an hour nobody does a more through review than AnandTech. Some of the writers at Droid Life carry these opinions with them from article to article and those opinions tend to entirely overshadow any sort of insight they can provide.
