I won't be buying one, mainly because I live outside of the US but this phone interests me.

I also think the purpose of the phone is to fully highlight Google Now. Mike Elgan asked a Motorola executive what has been the difference being a Google company and the basically told him that usually phone companies get bogged down in doing cost benefit analysis for features, so that what eventual comes to market is less than what they had originally dreamed. On the other hand

With Google’s ownership of Motorola, the executive told me, the whole conversation changed. In a nutshell, Google loved these radical ideas and quickly killed any movement toward getting bogged down in a lengthy cost-benefit conversation. Just do it, Google told them, and don’t worry about whether the costs will be recouped by hardware sales.

And Google Now is getting better, In the last month I started getting navigation cards and while I don't get turn by turn direction it tells me that Google is ready to push Google Now to everyone and they need a phone to do it.

Derek Duncan listen too maybe, agree with, thats up to you, but I think that he makes good points. I have an Android phone but I recommend the iphone to certain persons and I have an opinion on the iphone and iOS. There are also some Samsung fanboys who have the Note 2 and who I have already seen saying they are buying the Note 3 even though they have only announced the day its being launched today.
