G+_Marlon Thompson
As the writer says the issue is not if Apple paid the money for exclusivity it is if they are not above board with it. I have no problem with any company paying for timed releases of apps and programs, it sucks but at least do like Microsoft and Sony and let us know "Apple Reportedly Paid EA a ‘Truckload’ of Money to Keep Plants vs. Zombies 2 a Temporary iOS Exclusive" http://feedly.com/k/1fzKJ0v http://feedly.com/k/1fzKJ0v
G+_Alan Char
I guess it's more plausible that Apple is denying their agreement than EA just making the whole thing up. But neither option really makes much sense. Why are there conflicting reports about such a common industry practice?
G+_Joe Phelps
Every industry does this.
G+_Marlon Thompson
But Joe Phelps the difference is that in the other industries the consumer knows what the situation is and he is able to make a choice. Amazon has paid certain developers to make their Android apps timed exclusives on their app store, but they disclose this. The consumer has to simply choose to download the apps from the Amazon app store.
G+_Joe Phelps
Marlon Thompson It would be very naive to think this doesn't happen.
