G+_Marlon Thompson
Great to see this finally launched. I have really high hopes for this program. Originally shared by Android Developers Google Play for Education has officially launched. If you are building an app for the K-12 market in the US, visit the Developer Console and mark your app for inclusion in Google Play for Education. Now's the time to jump in. Google Play for Education puts you one click away from getting purchased and installed by entire school districts. Apps such as Class Dojo, Explain Everything, Nearpod, and Socrative are already getting discovered in Google Play for Education. To get started, take a look at the detailed guidelines at developer.android.com/edu. They'll help you create an app that's designed for classroom use, looks great on Android tablets, and delivers a compelling feature set for teachers and students. Visit developer.android.com/edu for complete information on this new program. #AndroidDev
G+_Madhu Sharma
I'm not sure if it's the best name - It sounds like a video game! (I know tech users & android phone owners know what Google Play is, but will educators understand it?). It's a great initiative. Hopefully it can help modernise education.
