Over the past week IFTTT has used over 80 mb of background data on my phone. Anyone else having similar results

I still use Tasker.  Even still, I'm not sure if IFTTT would be able to replace it for me (does it support Locale plugins?).

 

Though, it would be interesting as there is a Glass app.  I may look into it at some point.

I'm going to try it on my tablet later tonight. Can't do it on my phone, I need to use Tasker on there. I don't think it uses Locale plugins but it does let you set up recipes based on location

Paul Werner I need Locale plug-ins support, not the location awareness. I actually use WiFi state instead of location. It's accurate enough, and uses way less battery than even fused location.

Makes sense. In IFTTT it does let you set up a recipe based on if you are connecting or disconnecting from WiFi but overall it's no Tasker replacement... but than again what really is? I think since I only do basic automation on my tablet I'll keep IFTTT on there and use Tasker on my phone

I just checked and i got 37MB in the 7 days I've had it installed. Interestingly, i haven't used it to set up any new recipes, but still using about 15 recipes i had setup prior to the app release.
