About the live stream

So at the end of TWIG today Leo said that Lisa talked him down and he is not going to totally eliminate live shows, the chat room however is going away. If you want AAA and Android app arena to be one of those live shows I think we need to let our voices be heard, unless of course Jason Howell  the strain of the live show is too much for you then I am sure we will understand if you just give us the recorded show

It sickens me that a few trolls have been targeting the hosts and the families of TwiT staff and I hope that the AAA crew's significant others have not had to experience any unpleasantness.  Here is Leo's update on the issue

Very sad to hear this. While I live in a different timezone, I would watch the live shows at the weekend and always enjoy the chat room. I listen to the shows via podcasts during the week and so often hear Leo or the presenters ask the chat room questions or get answers from them. It seems like an integral part of how the audience feels like contributing to the discussion. It is hard for me to imagine how or why a change from live shows would help safety, apart from the moderation of the chat room, whatever happens, I hope that everyone stays safe.

I still believe it is Leo's fault and he should not blame the Trolls. It is his unfiltered comments usually of a sexual nature that have always gotten him into trouble. So stopping the live broadcasts is Lisa's remedy. I view for live broadcasting. That is what made TWIT. I think TWIT is making a big, big mistake and it will cost them dearly. So Leo, stop blaming trolls and look into yourself for once.

John Green  Lisa was the one who talked Leo down from cutting off the live stream. But lets really look at the issue. While Leo is not my favourite person in the world he made a choice when he started TWiT to be transparent and run it the way he wanted to and embrace technology, part of that was his decision a few years ago to broadcast live shows and to let everyone see behind the scenes. Now think about if your workplace was being broadcasted on the internet all the time I am sure there would be moments that you would regret and Leo has a very brash personality and his flaws are shown to everyone. And the fact is they have threatened his family and staff and are running a website that is updated almost every day of which the sole purpose is to discredit Leo and his network.
