G+_Marlon Thompson
Counterpoint to Ron Richards conspiracy theory about Google I/O While I do concur that the shifting of Google I/O could have been down to the unavailability of Moscone Center I don't think it would be something as simple as that. I/O has historically been held in May and June, so its not like Google had to have it on those dates. I assume that Google would book the center way in advance but again that is just an assumption having also been involved in event planning and booking places 2 years in advance. Finally while I/O traditionally held in San Francisco nothing is preventing Google from shifting to another convention center if they wanted to ensure that they had access to and indoor convention. This location was chosen for a reason and we will find out why in a few months.
G+_Joseph Cappellino
I wonder. Maybe it will be set there as it will be easier to handle more than 5000 people, at least for the keynote. My only other concern would be adverse weather conditions.
G+_Marlon Thompson
Joseph Cappellino weather conditions were also why I wondered why they would go there rather than an indoor. You have to have a good reason to chance something like that. Also there has been talk of getting space for more developers but I am confused as to where the break out sessions will be held. Will the self driving busses take you to the Googleplex (this is me who has no idea of the geography of the place)
G+_Joseph Cappellino
Yeah. Not sure. But, I'm sure we'll know more before too long.
