A key feature of the Moto Z mods is that they will work in next years phones. So Lenovo is committing to keeping the same design language for next years phone and ensuring that if you buy next year's model you can still use your mods. Very user friendly I would say. The Moto Z backplates could be considered the new Moto maker and a lot more convenient. While we don't know the price as yet (i estimate $30) its cool that we can now have a bamboo back and switch it out for a leather back depending on the mood your in. It also adds some much needed thickness to the phone as some have commented on its thinness For those people who want to charge their phones and plug in headphones at the same time since you can daisy chain USB C this should be possible with the Moto Z but we will have to wait a while to see someone come up with the solution.
