G+_TJ Evans
I have, but had to do it manually ... on both my Nexus4 and Nexus7 :) #Impatient
G+_Wade Shields
Manually with root? Or just applying an update.zip without having to root? I don't feel like rooting right now. Enjoying football games too much.
G+_TJ Evans
With root, sans wipe (if your boot loader is shady unlocked). 10 minutes of searching and downloading, 5 of making it not wipe and scripting the whole process (update, put TWRP in, re-root) and voila :). G+_Wade Shields
What happened to the old days of not needing root to just download the update, rename it to update.zip, then apply??
G+_John Maloney
Same here. No 4.4 yet.
G+_Wade Shields
Weston Dunn I'm no expert, but don't you need root to apply factory images?

G+_Daniel Eaton (ChromeCas
The sideload adb command worked great for me. Been running on it most of the week. Can't say that I have noticed a huge difference though.

G+_Jeremy Haas
Wugs nexus tool kit makes it incredibly easy. If you can read and use a mouse, you can update your nexus?
G+_Jason Bernstein
Jeremy Haas I use Ubuntu. Otherwise you are correct.
G+_Leanell Zsiga
Look like nobody has gotten 4.4 ota. I am not confident enough to side load. Would feel better if I was seeing that somebody out there was actually getting 4.4 ota. Why is it taking so long for THIS update?
G+_Mike Flanagan
Typically ota roll outs are to small controlled groups first to make sure devices aren't being bricked and then released to the masses the fact you can get the image if proof that its out.
