G+_Frank Gibson
Trying to get into the "curriculum" but my visual studio doesn't look like the one from the video, and it doesn't let me choose "console app". Help?
G+_Sandrine Marquis
I had the issue. I had install the wrong version of it. Make sure you installed the version for desktop.

G+_Joe C. Hecht
Good Catch Sandrine! You are correct. Visual Studio for "Windows" is more for making the Windows "Metro/Modern" ("Tileworld") apps, and the "Desktop" version is the more traditional version. It is very confusing, even for a seasoned veteran.

G+_Shannon Morse
Hi Frank! I made sure to go over the "Desktop" version in episode 2. More information is over at our twit.tv/code page under ep. 2!
G+_Frank Gibson
Yeah, I just somehow skipped the word "desktop", and clicked the first version I saw. My bad. All fixed now, and I am happily at work.
G+_Lee Crocker
Might have been handy for the show to have discussed some basic topics like what's an SDK, what tools they contain, what's a host and a target, ...
G+_Sandrine Marquis
I disagree Lee Crocker they didn't even talk about functions and objects, so talking about SDK would be a little to much. They're trying to teach the basics of solving problems with a programing language.
