G+_Michael Kizer
Time to leave... To many (seems to be the most prevalent post anymore) unwanted spamming Posts trying to 'push' Apps. The Community is no longer about the AAA Show. Also it seems to have lost any hint of control and moderation Jason Howell Gina Trapani Ron Richards Leo Laporte
G+_Joe Phelps
Check out the AAA section in the This is TWiT community.
G+_Neil Sedlak
As someone who only checks this community once or twice a day, I honestly do not see the level of spam you are talking about. Do you have the community set to alert on posts? If so, simply turn that off! Spam appears then is filtered as users flag it (I hope you've been flagging) so being set to alert will of course be annoying.
G+_George Sabbi
Neil Sedlak The listing for 'Check this Out' are annoying...if this is the TWiT AAA Show Community...that's what I want to see...discussion on the Show AAA...not the general listings of all the Apps people are developing and hawking...if this isn't the AAA Show community...then fine...let the Spammers post...cause I'm outta there! G+_Neil Sedlak
Ok, yeah that's a fine line to draw when it comes to moderation. Yes, a few are people pushing their own stuff but many of them seem like legitimate members of the community sharing.
G+_Ted Cannelongo
Wasn't Jason Howell working on an apps show? We can just move the app spam to that community. (Kidding, of course.) Neil Sedlak makes a good point. As a dev myself on the side, I'd love to promote my own app to this audience as much as the next person, but I'd feel weird about doing that unless it clearly fits the discussion. That's a personal thing though... We're very much in a gray area unless community rules forbid it.
