G+_Kraig Boone
I wondered if any AAA fans could help me out; which Android phone do I buy next? https://plus.google.com/u/0/112823355603472797136/posts/7Xq8VXB1bZG https://plus.google.com/u/0/112823355603472797136/posts/7Xq8VXB1bZG
G+_Nick Webster
I'd wait for an updated Nexus 4. Nothing will compete with that. Actually I would just go for a Nexus 4 right now, it's a great phone and you won't regret it. If you must have 4G I would go with the HTC One. G+_Ben Beckford
Nick Webster Thanks. I'd love an updated Nexus 4, but I do really want 4G, especially if I go for a contract because I don't want to be stuck on 3G for another 18-24 months. I like the HTC One but I can't stand Sense or any other manufacturer UI skin, is it worth rooting?
G+_Nick Webster
Ben Beckford My friend says that CM runs quite well on it. You could always try and put Nova Launcher on it which removes the skin but without root and without reflashing the OS.
G+_Piotr “Spaceman” Butkie
Nexus 4 is a fantastic phone. But if you got money to burn grab the HTC One and root it. I would but I'm broke. Good luck!
G+_Ben Beckford
That's a good point Nick Webster! Nova Launcher could help. Regardless of Nova Launcher/Rooting though, the HTC One won't get updated as quickly as Nexus devices :\
G+_Ben Beckford
This could be the answer! http://www.androidguys.com/2013/05/24/htc-one-google-edition-release-imminent-source-claims/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+androidguyscom+%28AndroidGuys%

G+_Ben Beckford
Hah thanks Piotr Butkiewicz. But how will I live with a non-removable battery!!!?
G+_Piotr “Spaceman” Butkie
Ben Beckford I get the criticism of non-removeable batteries (which in a year or two i hope won't even be an issue when faster recharging and more power efficient components allow longer battery life) but I bit the bullet and took that compromise when I got the N4 for all the other pros that it offers i don't regret the decision. Of course, the One with such an (imho) unneccessarily dense screen resolution may eat battery faster than the N4, but ultimately if your daily habit would be to use the phone so heavily that it needs recharging then maybe grab a spare charger for your workplace, and just top it up when you set it down for 30 minutes here and there, or plug it into a car charger while on the road using nav or streaming music. For the most part I use about 75-80% from morning till 6pm, and If i can top it up here and there I'm at about 40-50% by the end of the day. I've heard if you go below 20% then it could wear the battery out quicker. eh maybe, who knows, I try to keep it above just in case. ok enough, sorry for the long-winded comments... G+_Nick Webster
Ben Beckford The One has pretty good battery life. I know two people who have the HTC One and they both say that the phone is usually around 25% at midnight after taking it off the charger at around 7:30. Not much need for a non-removable battery.
