G+_Jim Hal
Google plus instant upload is just driving me up the wall because of the recent changes that has been made to it. The problem is when I take photos with my Galaxy S3 phone over a period of say a week, all the photos are uploaded and split into different folders arranged by date. I preferred the old way of doing things where they all got put into the instant upload album and I could then move them from that album if I wanted to. When I go and look at my gallery on the nexus 7 I can sometimes have more than a dozen albums arranged by date with one or two pictures in them, that's just a horrible way of doing things. I have reset both devices to factory defaults and I am seriously thinking of turning this feature off and using the camera upload feature of dropbox. I have been looking for info on the web to find out why they have changed it to make this feature so annoying to use but can't find anything. What do you think about this or have you not noticed it. G+_Johan Appelgren
On my Galaxy Nexus I now have all those albums named by date, and two Instant Upload albums. One empty and one with the instant uploads. Not very nice at all. Google+ really needs better album management, especially in the Android app where there is none at all. G+_Bill Dawson
I want to go pc free but cant because of issues like this, so I have to log in in my laptop to sort this out. Not a good way of doing things.?
G+_Cass Morrison
It's a scramble. As nice as it is to have access to all that I think now that drop box has matured that's what I'll be using.
G+_Bill Dawson
Yeah me as well even though I pay for extra storage in google, dropbox is looking the berter option until or if they sort things out.
G+_Robert Hendrix
I went to Google Drive as my photo storage/sync to my PC method from my phone. I use an app called Foldersync to look at all my photos and sync them to a "Mobile" folder in Google drive, then I go , was trying once a week but usually getting to it once a month, and reorganize into the folders I want like "zoo trip" or "March Randoms". Then I make copies and place them into a shared folder for my family to get to. It has been the simplistic method I've found but definitely not for anyone who is adverse to using a desktop PC still. G+_Bill Dawson
I do use Google drive to back some things up so I might look into that. Thanks for the suggestion and does that folder sync work without any problems.
G+_James Dowmont
I have completely switched back to dropbox for all of this. Add in an app called dfolio and now i have all my photos where i want them and a very nice gallery app for viewing them. I got tired of instant upload breaking with some custom roms. G+_Kyle Mallory
Same problem here. I even made a post about it the other day. It's driving me crazy. I now have 2 empty folders, Instant Upload and Feb 14 and no way to delete them. They don't show up in G+ photos and the picasa app on my phone either doesn't see it, or errors out on delete. I hope this gets fixed soon.
G+_Robert Hendrix
Bill Dawson Foldersync is what I use to keep things, well synced. I had issues where 2-way caused some issues, so I only use to backup TO my Google Drive with important items like my mobile photos but I have a Wallpaper folder I 2-way sync with no issues. It also connects to various services or local.
G+_Mike Marien (x12Mike)
Not sure if this helps, but my phone uploads to about three places when i take a picture/video.. Dropbox, my personal ownCloud server, and Google drive with an app CloudVault... The later is nice, specify a directory on drive, set it and forget it... It takes the Google+ synx out of the equation...
