G+_Nick Lowe
Why would Facebook need these permissions it requests in an app update?
G+_Santos Cardona
Draw over other apps is not quite working on my thrive.
G+_Victor Ceballos
Maybe because the app is busy studying your battery .
G+_Santos Cardona
Victor Ceballos Weird. Messenger seemed to show chat heads and then stopped.
G+_Victor Ceballos
So the upgrade emulates FB Home? I can can see formally asking permission to open FB Messenger if you have the app installed. The battery one is puzzling
G+_Michael Abernathy
It's for the second half of what it says battery stats can do. "find out detailed information about which apps you use". Pretty obvious what info they want.
G+_Santos Cardona
+Victor Ceballos If you long click on a person you are messenging with, there is an option to pop out a chat head. Maybe it only works with the stock launcher. I'm on nova pro and it doesn't work.
G+_Victor Ceballos
I updated the app on my tablet Santos Cardona I've never use the FB Messenger app which it calls when you try to chat with someone. +Michael Abernathy it's only obvious if one reads those permissions
G+_Michael Abernathy
Oh I know. And I also know that MOST will NOT. But there are some of us, that even with the apps we love, watch for changes like this. And then question the developers when they do it if it's not mentioned why it was done in the change log. IF provided of course. I don't have a FB account so this one doesn't pertain to me. ?
