G+_Ken H
Now that the AAA crew are getting a free Chromebook Pixel we can only hope we will get at least one to convert from their Macs #io13
G+_Paul Werner
Just thought it'd be nice to see them try it is all. Not at all upset
G+_Kevin Wandtke
Wonder who will be the lucky person at WIT who gets Leo's Pixel? .. The way he's been bashing it he certainly can not keep it can he? .. 'Course it is "new and improved" right?
G+_Paul Werner
Kevin Wandtke he can give it to me ;-)
G+_Dan Phillips
I think the main reason we see so many Macs is because of Skype. However they have been able to get Jeff Javis' Pixel working for TWiG
G+_Cole Brodine
I saw Tom Merritt say some nice things about Linux Mint the other day. I hope he is running it on his Mac instead of OSX.
G+_Jason Howell (raygun01)
I'm going to try using the PIxel during the show for a few weeks once I get it (they were out of the LTE versions so I'm getting one shipped to me in four weeks.) BUT... the problem I had with the old Chromebooks on the show is the same here: When I do the show, I want a: my shownotes in a browser, b: a notepad c: chat... all on screen at the same time. This isn't possible with a Chromebook. Without that, I am less efficient in running the show, period. So, I'll try it, but I don't envision it being a solution. Not to mention, the Pixel doesn't output a video signal that works with the TriCaster in the off chance that we want to show something off from the laptop. G+_Paul Darr
Jason Howell Why not use multiple windows of show notes, Google Docs (notepad), chat (web irc)? It seems all those tasks can be accomplished on the pixel.
G+_Jason Howell (raygun01)
Paul Darr is it possible to display more than one Window at a time? That's what I require.
G+_Paul Darr
Yes it is Jason Howell. I double checked on my wifes Samsung Chromebook last night and I was able to display several windows at a time. Using the window control box in the upper right you can resize your windows. Simply open the windows and then resize them to display the way you want. I hope this helps while you use the Pixel on the show.
G+_Jason Howell (raygun01)
Paul Darr that makes it much more of a possible solution. Now I just have to wait to actually receive it (they ran out of LTE models and area shipping me one in four weeks.)
