Exact same thoughts I had with my decision about the Shield Tab over N9... and this is coming from the creator of Android Police! I wonder if anyone that voted N9 on my poll in this community would reconsider now

I'm more and more impressed with the SHIELD Tablet. After the Lollipop update, I'll be more likely to pick it up than the Nexus 9.

Some quick thoughts:

- Smaller, more manageable screen

- LTE variant already available, and is much cheaper than the N9 LTE which isn't out yet. $399 for SHIELD LTE, $599 for N9 LTE

- Stylus

- MicroSD card slot

- best magnetic keyboard cover / stand I've used

- fast updates. Not as fast as Google, but pretty damn close

- SHIELD controller support

- pure cloud and PC streaming games

- exclusive games, which NVIDIA brings out all the time

- fast

- better, more solid build, and I think it actually looks more bad-ass

- better speakers

- better front camera - the one that matters (5MP vs 1.6MP on the N9)

- lighter (390g vs 436g)

- HDMI port

Some things where the N9 wins out:

- it's thinner (7.9mm vs 9.2mm). No arguing here. Thinner does feel better.

- camera flash (meh, I don't care)

- 8MP rear camera vs 5MP (also don't care, I don't take pictures with my tablet)

- 802.11ac Wi-Fi, which the SHIELD doesn't have. But 802.11n should be enough for most everything

- slightly higher screen resolution, but also bigger screen, so more pixels to draw = bigger battery life hit. I certainly don't think the slightly lower res is a downside at all for the SHIELD.

- the N9 has a compass. Woopti-do.

All in all, I think the SHIELD Tablet is a much better buy at a lower price.
