G+_Ken H Posted February 25, 2015 Share Posted February 25, 2015 I just wanted to come here and thank Jason Howell for giving me a kinda distraction for a while with what he said on the last show. I spent a good while listening to my past recordings on voice searches in my Google Dashboard. I found that when the voice search or command is triggered by the hotword they list it differently and the recording changes after the hotword is stated. It's like it's changed so it can pick up on your voice better than a plain voice command triggered when you press the mic. The background noise is cut out more but you also sound more robotic in the playback. I'm not all up in arms like some people over how much info Google has (since they let you disable or just not use features that can track this) but I found it a bit fun to go through some of that and see what it recorded along with what Google Now thought was translated.
