G+_marc williamson
What else does the Chromecast need to be a real game changer? For the most part the tech crowd and some even outside of it are smitten by the Chromecast. A cheap little device that can pretty much handle most of the normal persons streaming needs. Attach it to a Soundbar and it gives the likes of Sonos a run for its money. I think once Google opens up the Cast API then things would really change. For starters having a Plex app would be killer for a lot of people. So what else do we need?
G+_Stephen Bertoni
Being able to cast my podcasts from either my Nexus 4 or Nexus 7 would be a huge gain for me.
G+_HeCareth M. Wosu
Stephen Bertoni I agree if I can cast pocket cast and plex i would really not need the Google TV.
G+_George Kozi
Allow me to play MMO's on my TV. ...Gamecast....
G+_Stephen Bertoni
HeCareth M. Wosu have you looked at the +Koushik Dutta app Allcast? Not currently working with the Chromecast but hopefully once the SDK is opened up it will. I'd love to retire my Logitech Revue. ?
G+_HeCareth M. Wosu
Stephen Bertoni I have looked into it. The thing about my Google TV that the Chromecast will probably never do is scrub content like Google TV Primetime.

G+_Dale Dubnyk
Google drive support and tune in are the two big ones in my book. Google drive especially! Come on already!
G+_Frank Kim
I'm not sure if it currently does this but how about mirroring chrome tabs or other Google apps on iOS? Or perhaps airplay mirroring on Android?
G+_HeCareth M. Wosu
Google Drive? What use would Chromecast serve with Google Drive.
G+_Stephen Bertoni
You can cast Chrome tabs +Frank Kim.
G+_Stephen Bertoni
HeCareth M. Wosu put your content on Google Drive and play it from there. Allcast can do this, sort of.
G+_Stephen Bertoni
BTW Dale Dubnyk I use http://tunein.com from a Chrome? tab.
G+_Frank Kim
I meant Tabs on Chrome for iOS. Unless you knew that and I can because that would be awesome!
G+_Stephen Bertoni
No casting yet from mobile devices Frank Kim but yup it would rock if we could!
G+_HeCareth M. Wosu
Hmm...Google Drive is not really meant to store and view media content.
G+_Josef Ferguson
If I could play Amazon videos on it, I would unplug my Roku for good. Until then, it's just a YouTube-on-the-TV machine (still handy in it's own right, but not a game changer...yet)
G+_Dale Dubnyk
I have loads of movies on Google drive. 50+ movies right now. Works really well for sharing them with friends. Why would there be options for TB worth of storage if movies was not to be there? I know about chrome tabs. But I prefer not to have to fire up my big computer to cast to a TV when I want to view. Using a chromecast is much more power efficient. And works much better for 1080p content.?
G+_HeCareth M. Wosu
Dale Dubnyk interesting. If anything I see Google Drive support to allow users to cast presentations to a big screen. But hey you never know what will happen the possibilities are endless.
G+_Dale Dubnyk
HeCareth M. Wosu that too I suppose. Work great in business situation for presentations.
G+_Anthony Kafka
To play GT6, Reckoning, Skyrim, Amazon, and all my other stuff attached to a hard drive. Oh wait, my PS3 does that. Never mind.?
G+_Ian Waring
To sell it outside the USA. The fact they don't and it could be the #1 Christmas present everywhere they released seems it lost on them. No other changes needed!

G+_Dean Penderghast
I want to broadcast my Adroid screen and anything that's on it to the ChromeCast. This way any game I'm playing or app that I'm running can be broadcasted to the living room TV.
