G+_marc williamson
Why do you use a Custom ROM? I got a Nexus 5 yesterday finally upgrading my Galaxy Nexus and moving to T-Mobile. I was running CM 11 on the GNex, bit don't really see any huge advantages to doing so now. So. This to all those Custom ROM fans out there. What are your motivations? G+_Jeremy Haas
Paranoid android is the only rom that i think has some great features over stock. I see cm as a rom for those that want a stock android experience but don't own a nexus
G+_Ryan Yakus
I'm not using a custom rom any more, but I do still use gravity box because Google still hasn't gotten the quick settings and power button menu right
G+_Mike Flanagan
I've always used CyanogenMod to have a stock experience. Now that I have a Nexus 5 I have no plans on flashing any Roms on it.
G+_Alex Kruger
I use SlimRoms. I love it, small stable ROM with just enough extra features. I started using custom ROMs because I have a GS3 and I hate TouchWiz.
G+_Ian Daniels
Mike Flanagan why not. There is so much Dev support on nexus devices. They are development platforms. Paranoid Android and SlimRoms are my favs and give you so much extra functions. All my nexus buds were jellious of my s2x when I had 4.4 and their galaxy nexus were unsupported. G+_Mike Flanagan
Ian Daniels the main reason I always used custom roms was to get rid of the carrier bloat, have a stock experience or update carrier locked phones that were slow to update. With the nexus 5 I have none of those issues so that's why at least for now I'm just running stock. Although I do have root.
G+_Joseph Hurtsellers
Yep; I left Verizon for Tmobile this year with the Nexus 5 - I was a Cyanogen user - I mostly would root and ROM to get the latest capabilities when my carrier woudn't allow the updates. Now that I'm stock with a REAL nexus phone - no more ROMing for me.
